Raymond Micha Competition

Created in 2011 and organised by the Culture and Folklore Commission of the Spa-Francorchamps-Stavelot Rotary, the Raymond Micha Competition is aimed at young Belgian and foreign wind instrumentalists. The two categories of instruments are alternated, one year being devoted to brass instruments and the next to woodwinds. The jury is always composed of highly competent personalities.

From the very first year, the Prize has been awarded to very talented young performers who have often subsequently proved that the jury's confidence in them was well-founded. Indeed, former prize-winners can now be found in a very dynamic professional musical activity.

In this 13th season, the competition is open to brass instruments and the public final will take place on Saturday April 27th, from 1.30 p.m., at the Abbey in Stavelot. The seven finalists will be awarded some very nice prizes intended to reward their efforts, but also to open the doors to a promising future.
