Of Czech origin, the Bennewitz Quartet is one of the world’s leading international chamber music ensembles. Having won numerous awards at prestigious competitions in Japan and Italy, the Quartet performs at renowned venues (Wigmore Hall, London; Musikverein, Vienna; Konzerthaus, Berlin; Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris…) and at famous festivals (Lockenhaus, Prague Spring). The Quartet has collaborated with top-class partners (Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Veronika Hagen, Alexander Melnikov…). The Quartet does not shy away from programming a demanding repertoire. Czech Radio regularly broadcasts the Quartet’s concerts.
