# Charity concert at the Stavelot Care Home

		
		
As part of the charity concerts organised by [Les Festivals de Wallonie](http://www.lesfestivalsdewallonie.be) in collaboration with the [Stavelot Festival](http://www.festivaldestavelot.be), an inclusive concert will be held at the [Stavelot Care Home](https://www.stavelot.be/ma-commune/social/residence-ferdinand-nicolay-maison-d-erepos-du-cpas) on the afternoon of 24 July 2026.

Founded in September 2023 at the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels, **Effel is an international classical saxophone quartet**, inviting us to discover a unique programme that showcases the rhythmic and melodic richness of their instruments. Paying tribute to the members’ diverse backgrounds — Poland, Germany, Spain and Hungary — as well as to the often overlooked repertoire written for saxophone quartet, their programme centres mainly on two works: a transcription of Claude Debussy’s Suite Bergamasque and Guillermo Largo’s Suite Ciudades, whose six movements each represent a city from around the world.

As the first recipients of the Mathilde Horlait-Dapsens Foundation grant in October 2023, the musicians have distinguished themselves among the great names of classical music, notably the Habanera saxophone quartet and Vincent David, under whose tutelage they study. Offering a fresh perspective on the saxophone repertoire, enhanced by undeniable technical and musical prowess, let yourself be guided by these young virtuosos, who are passionate and eager to share their love for this very British instrument!
