The atmosphere is relaxed and we are fortunate to have the guidance of outstanding teachers.
We study the same work during the three days of classes and each group decides and prepares one or more movements of the score.
Our classes are at the Collège Saint-Remacle but on the last day, on 11 August at 4.00pm (free access), we give a closing concert in the Monks’ Refectory in the old Abbey.

Audition of the Master Class trainees
The closing concert of the Master Classes is always reserved for the trainees who have come to follow the courses and advice of such prestigious masters as the members of the Zemlinsky Quartet. Every year, dozens of them come to Stavelot and their nationalities are very diverse. During this last concert, the pleasure and talent shown by these young (and not so young...) musicians in interpreting the works they have worked on are such that the audience is totally in agreement with their approach and is delighted to see living music making so many musicians happy.
