Created in 2004, the Trio Portici brings together three Belgian musicians. Stéphane de May is a piano teacher at the Rotterdam Conservatory and the musical director of the Anniviers Festival in Switzerland. Damien Pardoen is a violinist with the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra and teaches at the Conservatoire Royal de Liège, while Luc Tooten, after many years with the Brussels Philharmonic as principal cellist, is now devoting himself to his solo career. All three have won several international prizes and have made numerous recordings. The Trio's first CD, released in 2005, was devoted to César Franck’s trios.
