Born in 1964 in Aix-en-Provence, Eric Le Sage completed his piano studies at the Paris Conservatoire at the age of 17 and then went on to perfect his skills in London with Maria Curcio. Known for his interpretations of Romantic music (Schumann in particular), he has recorded numerous complete works, which have been highly appreciated. He performs in recital and with world-famous orchestras, but his passion for chamber music means that he often shares the stage with eminent partners. He is the co-founder of the Salon-de-Provence Festival. He is a teacher at the Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg, Germany.
