Created in 1987 on the initiative of the Centre d'Art Vocal et de Musique Ancienne (Cav&ma), the Chamber Choir of Namur is today one of the most renowned ensembles in Europe. Its preferred repertoire is early music and the repertoire is that of composers from the present-day Walloon Region or from Brussels. It has made more than 30 award-winning recordings, notably for Ricercar. Since 2010, the ensemble has been directed by Leonardo Garcia Alarcon, but other great conductors are sometimes invited. The preparation of the Choir is regularly handled by Thibaut Lenaerts.
