Beatrice Berrut was born and raised in the Valais region of the Swiss Alps.
She started skiing at the age of two, but it was only later that the piano came into her life. When she discovered the recording of Brahms' second concerto, it was a revelation: her existence was there to serve this music from another world. At the age of 16, she began her training in Zurich and continued her studies in Berlin and Dublin. Although she was successful early on, it was not until she graduated from the Hochschule in Berlin that she really began to build her career. Since then, she has travelled throughout Europe and the world, both in recital and with orchestra, carrying with all her heart the music that gives meaning to her life.
